Entertainment – Music & Comedy
Each year, the ball boasts a packed programme of entertainment provided by comedy greats such as Sally Phillips and Milton Jones, musical acts such as BOND, Adrianne Langley and Victoria Ekanoye and dance acts including Flawless and Spirit YPC. Over the years, these incredible acts have created unforgettable entertainment moments at the Mariposa Ball. We carefully select a range of amazing entertainers to perform each year, and 2027 will be no exception, so get ready to be entertained!
Auctions – Live and Silent
A key part of the evening is always the fantastic and silent auctions that are run. From amazing artwork to fabulous holidays, and from luxury handbags to exclusive sports memorabilia, there is something for everyone, so treat yourself, or that special someone in your life! Charity Ambassador and Sky Sports presenter James Green will once again lead us through the live auction, helping to raise vital funds to support the work of Mariposa International.

If the event needs to be postponed, all tickets will be immediately transferred to the new date. Refunds are not permitted. If attendees cannot attend the event, their ticket fees will be considered as a charitable donation.
Dress Code
Strictly full-length evening dress. Gentlemen are required to wear tuxedos or kilts.
Short dresses and cocktail attire are not permitted. This is a formal event, and the dress code will be upheld.
Arrival Time
Guests are welcomed from 6:15pm, with a prompt start at 7:00pm. We kindly ask that all guests are seated by 6:55pm to ensure the evening begins seamlessly. With a full programme in place, punctuality is essential so that no part of the experience is missed.
Finish Time
The evening concludes at 12:30am.
Entertainment continues through to the final moments, and we strongly encourage guests to remain until the close of the event.
Please arrange taxis or transportation for collection from 12:30am onwards.
Do I Need My Invitation?
No. Once tickets are purchased, your name is added to the official guest list.
Invitations are sent as a keepsake, offering you something to remember the evening by, but they are not required for entry.
Are Children Allowed
No. The Mariposa Ball is an adult-only event.
What Will The Entertainment Be
The evening features a varied and thoughtfully curated programme of entertainment.
A range of performances will take place throughout the night, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Awards Structure
Awards are presented in three sections across the evening. These are carefully placed between courses and entertainment, maintaining a natural flow and sustaining the room’s energy.
Do I Need To Give An Award Acceptance Speech
No. There is no requirement, or opportunity, to give a speech on stage. Instead, award recipients are invited to a dedicated area immediately after their presentation to record a short speech of up to three minutes. These recordings are later shared on the website and across social media.
Collecting Awards
All award winners will be invited to the stage to receive their awards.
For selected special recognition awards, recipients will be asked to stand at their table, where the award will be presented to them directly.
This approach ensures the evening runs smoothly and with ease.
Hotel Rooms
Discounted rates are not available directly through the event. We recommend securing your accommodation through online booking platforms, where the best available rates are typically found. In addition, there is a range of local hotels, from Travelodge and Premier Inn to Hiltons, Marriott, Holiday Inn, and more, within a 5-10 minute walk.
Ball Gift Bags
Gift bags are distributed from 11:45pm onwards.
Guests who leave prior to this time will not receive a gift bag. Once a gift bag has been collected, re-entry into the ballroom is not permitted, so we kindly ask that you collect it upon departure.
How Do I Nominate Someone For A Mariposa Award?
Nominations are made via the website. If you have received exceptional care or support from a professional, organisation, or individual, we strongly encourage you to nominate them. By recognising excellence, we help raise the standard of care for others, and your nomination could lead to someone truly deserving being honoured at a future event.

Will There Be Celebrities In Attendance?
Yes. The Mariposa Ball welcomes a number of well-known faces and supporters of the charity, all gathered to celebrate the work and honour the award nominees and winners.
Should I Bring Cash?
We recommend bringing both cash and card to fully take part in the evening.
There will be a silent auction, live auction, raffle, and a game of heads and tails.
Ticket sales cover the cost of the event itself, and all funds raised on the night go directly to the charity.
Your generosity plays a vital role in supporting bereaved families, and every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
Food & Dietary Requirements
A three-course fine dining menu will be served, followed by tea, coffee, and petit fours.
Dietary requirements must be submitted to the charity at least one month prior to the event so they can be shared with the venue.
Drinks
Water will be provided at the tables.
Alcohol is not included but can be pre-ordered for your table or purchased on the night, as there are 2 bars within the ballroom.
Press & Media
The event is supported by our media partner, OK Magazine, and will be covered by photographers and videographers throughout the evening.
Images and footage captured may be shared across social media, media platforms, and partner channels to celebrate the work of the charity.
By attending, guests acknowledge and accept that media coverage will take place.
Transportation
The Hotel is located directly opposite Marylebone Train Station, and a short distance from Euston and Kings Cross. The rear entrance of the hotel sits opposite the station, and there is a taxi rank between. due to lots of people leaving the event at a similar time, pre-ordering a car may be beneficial.
