2014 – 2018, 7 Amazing Balls

22nd March 2014 – The Landmark Hotel, London

The stunning 5* Landmark Hotel was chosen to host the inaugural Mariposa Ball in London in March 2014. This fabulous event was supported by Hyundai and RSA, and was produced in association with HELLO magazine.


9th May 2015 – Savoy Hotel, London

Bringing the Mariposa Ball to London’s most Iconic Hotel, was a key step for the charity as it strove to raise the profile of it’s work. Over 200 Guests enjoyed fabulous food, entertainment from BOND, Margaret Keys, West End Kids and more.


6th June 2015 – Lowry Hotel, Manchester

The 5* Lowry Hotel in Manchester hosted the first of the Mariposa Balls to take place outside of London. An amazing night, saw performances by US and UK singer Sammie Jay, Jazz performer AJ Brown, a special performance from Nashville of the charities single written by Chris Eaton and more.


7th May 2016 – Savoy Hotel, London

2016 saw the Mariposa Ball return to the Savoy Hotel. This years guests were treated to performances by Brit Award winner Beverley Craven, West End Kids, Scottish singer Kerri Watt, and The Scheme. Rounded off with an auction and disco, there was something for everyone, and the amazing gift bags made a fabulous night, even better!


6th May 2017 – Savoy Hotel, London

2017 saw the Mariposa Ball return to the Savoy Hotel. This year the ball saw Jazz singer AJ Brown, the fabulous West End Kids, and top comedian Milton Jones entertain the guests with Manchester Soul Diva Emilie Cunliffe bringing the house down.


16th September 2017 – Belfry Hotel, Sutton

2017 also saw the Mariposa Ball be held at the Belfry Hotel in Royal Sutton Coldfield. Guests were entertained by a mix of acts including Brit Nominee Sandi Thom, AJ Brown and Emilie Cunliffe, as well as celebrating the official launch of ‘Saying Goodbye’ by charity CEO Zoe Clark-Coates.


28th April 2018 – Savoy Hotel London

Just when you think it can’t get better, it does, and 2018 set a new benchmark for the ball. Entertainment came from the West End Kids, The Big Sing, Victoria Ekanoye, and Danny Foster and the Big Soul Corporation, all hosted by comedian Sally Phillips, and also saw the launch of the Mariposa Awards.

West End Kids

West End Kids are a musical dance troupe based in London, but drawing in the top young performers from around the UK. Performing at such events as the Queens 90th Birthday, and at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, they are exceptionally gifted, and have performed at the Savoy at each Mariposa Ball.
